Hand Cast Pewter Clasps - some with special finishes - sew on
Each of these clasps are made in Idaho. They are hand polished to a satin finish. Other finishes available on some styles are 22kt gold and bronze plate. The plated pieces will give many years of service, but because the finsh is overlaid it will wear eventually. Click on the images for a larger view.

Famous Sleepy Hollow Clasps
These clasps are super-duper strong and are great on cloaks, scarfs, wraps and much more. Two strong alligator clips safely hold delicate and heavy fabrics alike. Be creative and remember that you don't sew these on to your garments so one clasp can be used on many items! Not recommended for use on velvet and other crushable fabrics.

Each clasp has 2 alligator clips on the back, 1 on the right and 1 on the left. The teeth are plastic and clamped closed to secure the clasp to your garment. In our experience these clamps hold heavy and fine fabrics alike. We honestly believe them to be the ideal hold for non-crushable fabric. An added bonus, you won't need to sew them and you can use one clasp on multiple pieces; if you miss the alignment, open one side of the clasp, slide to adjust, then reclose. Again we warn - Do not use these clasps on velvet. Usually only one side needs to be released in order to extricate yourself from the garment.To release pull the larger guard.
